SAINT PETERThough the apostle Peter betrayed Jesus three times at the moment of his death, the resurrected Lord tells him to go out into the world and spread the Gospel. Peter’s staunchest ally, Paul, is arrested while preaching in Rome, and Peter, though old and tired, makes the journey to try and save him. But Rome’s worst fire gives Nero an excuse to massacre the Christians, including Paul. Peter escapes, only to return to the city to face crucifixion, determined to follow the path of Jesus to the bitter end.
